The primary purpose of this position is to support administration and instructional staff in the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. The larger goal is to provide support and guidance for elementary teachers to improve instruction, assessment and achievement keeping within the law, Board policies, and administrative regulations. Hired individual will work primarily with KG and 1st grade students, working collaborativly with other District RTIi specialists supporting all K-8 grade students.

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Oregon teaching license with appropriate endorsement meeting the ESSA federally qualified standards.
  • Elementary teacher licensure, with reading and/or math endorsement preferred.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (Including RTli and PBIS)
  • Experience working with adult learners.
  • Clearly demonstrates cultural competency, knowledge of diversity issues, and can advocate for non-traditional students and minorities.
  • Flexible and adaptive thinking for visionary planning.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and program
  • Ability to facilitate effective and purposeful meetings.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and adopting an effective course of action on the basis of the data.
  • Ability to use current technology to fulfill job requirements.
  • Experience in using the district data systems as well as Microsoft Office and Google programs to analyze student data and prepare reports.
  • Ability to set goals, plan projects, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Well organized with the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently and assume responsibility without supervision.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
  • Use of confidentiality

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.   • Provide leadership in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, including program development, coordination, evaluation, and change.
  • Coordinate the implementation of universal screening measures
  • Facilitate implementation of evidence based literacy, math and behavior instructional strategies
  • Assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results and facilitate data teams
  • Assist in identifying student needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Develop and maintain accurate school level data
  • Review, analyze and evaluate instructional programs, CORE and intervention materials, and research based practices, articulating how they work together
  • Analyze data for 100%, 20% meetings and Individual Problem-Solving, faciltating meetings as needed.
  • Assist teachers in using data to inform instruction, particularly as it relates to appropriate student placement and the selection of appropriate instructional material and strategies.
  • Support meeting agreements and non-negotiables.
  • Attend and participate in all required trainings.
  • Follow standards, policies and procedures of the district and recommend changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
